Just got back from the famous Weekend Night Market in Phuket, Thailand. Lots of trinkets and some interesting food. Hundreds of scooters as well. Also saw 5 Evos in convoy as on the way there. Wish I could have talked with them to compare notes about our cars.

Oh dang, if I knew you were in Phuket, I would’ve suggested you go to the Blue Elephant restaurant - some of the best and most exquisite gourmet Thai food I ever had.

Good thing I wasn’t in Bangkok.

Yup! It’s on the outskirts of Phuket and because it was built relatively recently, it’s not that well known. The building is actually the old Governor’s house.

Kinja'd!!!

It is pricey, but I think it was pretty worth it.

Some good reviews on Trip Advisor. We’ve already spent a good bit on this trip for food. My wife loves crab and I had to make sure she tried chili crab in Singapore. She loved it, even though it is messy. We also had four Singapore Slings at Raffles. Yummy and they gave us two sling recipie shakers, but damn expensive.

If you like spicy food, then the Blue Elephant is definitely the place for you and the Mrs. They classify the spicy dishes from 1 Elephant to 5 Elephants - I can withstand a little spice but even 1 Elephant is too much for me.

Not sure if it's still there but there was a place called NASA burger in between Kata a a Karon beaches. A fine burger, indeed. Great pics!
